The Wagner Society of Washington DC is pleased to announce that tickets are already available for the 2025 Bayreuth Festival

We sold out our original batch of tickets and are pleased to announce that the Society was able to purchase additional tickets for next summer's Bayreuth Festival. The performances will take place from Friday, August 15, 2025 through Wednesday, August 20, 2025, as indicated below.  The ticket sets include the following:

FULL SET OF SIX TICKETS: $2,324

  • Ring II: Parkett Links: Row 25, Seat 19

  • Parsifal III: Parkett Rechts: Row 10, Seat 16  (Performance does not include the Augmented Reality glasses.)

  • Meistersinger VI: Parkett Rechts, Row 25, Seat 26

SET OF FIVE TICKETS (PARSIFAL OMITTED): $1,892

  • Ring II: Parkett Links: Row 25, Seat 17

  • Meistersinger VI: Parkett Rechts, Row 25, Seat 24

The performances include the following cast members and conductors:

  • The Jay Scheib Parsifal, with Pablo Heras-Casado conducting, and featuring Andreas Schager, Ekatarina Gubanova, Michael Volle, Georg Zeppenfeld and Jordan Shanahan.

  • The highly anticipated Mattias Davids production of Die Meistersinger, conducted by Daniele Gatti, featuring Georg Zeppenfeld as Hans Sachs, Michael Spyres as Walther von Stolzing, and Christina Nilsson as Eva.

  • The complete Valentin Schwarz Ring cycle, conducted by Simone Young, and featuring Tomasz Konieczny’s acclaimed Wotan, Catherine Foster's steely Brünnhilde, Michael Spyres, Klaus Florian Vogt, Christa Mayer and Olafur Sigurdarson, among others. The festival is offering only two (instead of its typical three) Ring cycles, so we are especially pleased to have procured a full set.

A pre-travel briefing will be held to allow members to meet each other and to provide tips on making travel arrangements prior to the festival.

Please check the festival website for the most complete and up-to-date information about all productions.

If you would like to be considered for tickets, please contact Ann Albin as soon as possible at ann.albin@verizon.net or call her directly at (301) 523-8379.  We expect these tickets to sell quickly, and they will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

The Ticket Prices, consistent with prior years, include a 15% surcharge, which partially covers our expenses to make these tickets available to our members.

Please let us know today if you would like to make your dream of attending the Bayreuth Festival a reality.

The festival is presenting two instead of its typical three Ring cycles, so we are especially pleased to be able to offer these.
